Ultra-Modern Industrial Culture

Visitors to Sofradir are impressed with the size and sophistication of its industrial plant and the capital-intensive equipment, as well as the quality of the system that manages the process from raw material manufacturing through to IR detector assembly, test and packaging.

Housed in 9000m2 floor space, one-third of which is made up of clean rooms, production equipment capacity is 10,000 IR detectors per year for standard and customized products. This is a significant yield in the IR industry.

Our Quality Management System, which is managed by highly-skilled engineers and carried out by a highly-motivated workforce, has earned recognition from leading companies, worldwide.  In addition to being ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14000:2004 certified, we are also AS 9100/EN 9100 qualified, a stringent world standard for the aerospace industry.
