Sofradir staring snapshot 640x512 Mid Wave (MW) Infrared Focal Plane Assemblies (IRFPA) are dedicated to high resolution (TV format) applications (FLIR, IRST, reconnaissance, surveillance, airborne camera, thermography, non destructive test,…)
for the 3-5µm detection waveband (band II) and to be compatible with portable system needs thanks to this lightweight and low input power product.
These IRFPAs take advantage of Sofradir optimized high performance, stable, low defect density Photo-Voltaic HgCdTe staring array technology.
Hybridized on a Sofradir state of the art 15µm pitch CMOS Read-Out Integrated Circuit (ROIC), these IRFPAs are proposed with various long vacuum-life Dewar and Cooler configurations, in order to meet a wide variety of system requirements in terms of mechanical and cooling specification. These IRFPAs are especially dedicated to highly compact systems as well as upgrades of medium resolution systems (320 x 256 30 µm pitch) keeping constant the optical field.
Standard configurations
- Integrated Detector Dewar Cooler Assemblies (IDDCA) with miniature Stirling-cycle rotary coolers, for compact, low power configuration.
On-request configurations
- IDDCA with split Stirling-cycle linear cooler, for expanded lifetime & system integration facilitation.
- Detector Dewar Assembly (DDA) without or with Joule-Thomson cooler (pressurized gas cooling).
