The Sofradir staring snapshot 320 x 256 Long Wave (LW) Infrared Focal Plane Assemblies (IRFPA) are offered to answer the military and commercial systems requirement of band III (8-12µm) detection.
These IRFPAs take advantage of the Sofradir optimized high performance, stable, low defect density Photo-Voltaic HgCdTe technology for staring arrays, with detective material bandgap adapted for LW applications.
Hybridized on a Sofradir state of the art CMOS Read-Out Integrated Circuit (ROIC), these IRFPAs are offered in various long vacuum-life Dewar and Cooler configurations, in order to meet the different mechanical and cooling needs of the systems.
Standard configurations
- 9.5 µm IRFPA at 77 K into compact Integrated Detector Dewar Cooler Assembly (IDDCA) with miniature 0.4 W Stirling-cycle rotary cooler.
On-request configurations
- 9.5 µm IRFPA at 77 K into 0.7W split Stirling-cycle linear cooler IDDCA, for expanded lifetime & system integration facilitation.
- 9.5 µm IRFPA at 80 K (N2 gas) into Joule-Thomson cooled Detector Dewar Assembly (DDA).
