On behalf of the Program Committee, we are pleased to welcome you to participate the 6th International Symposium on OPTRONICS IN DEFENCE AND SECURITY, from 28th to 30th January 2014 in Paris (France), organized by 3AF, the French Aerospace Society.

OPTRO is the European event for engineers and scientists in the fields of Optronics.
For its 6th edition, OPTRO2014 will gather engineers and scientists from government, university and industry and give opportunity to implement fruitful exchanges between colleagues of different countries and disciplines.

OPTRO2014 will present the status on recent advances in Optronics in the fields of Defence and Security and on the perspectives that Optronics offers in the near future, covering the current aspects of Optronics but also addressing emerging Optronics technologies.

 

Agenda

OPTRO2014 will open on day one with a plenary session focusing on presentations by top ranking governmental representatives and research organisations eminent personalities. Presentations will relate to programs, strategy and the latest research & developments in advanced Optronics.
The following days of the symposium are organised in parallel sessions which cover the following topics:

Imaging and Systems
Laser Sensors and Systems
Sensors and components
Space
Signal and Image Processing
Simulation
Emerging Technologies
OPTRO2014 will host an exhibition within the Conference Centre offering to all attendees and Optronics exhibiting companies an opportunity to exchange on technical know-how and products.

A meeting between SMEs and major companies will be organized by our partner EPIC.
PhD’s works will be highlighted by the OPTRO2014 best PhD communication Award.
Tutorials are proposed the day before the Symposium opening.
