Space developments at SOFRADIR for Sounding applications
SOFRADIR is one of the leading companies involved in the development and manufacturing of infrared detectors for space applications. Among them, meteorological applications, meaning imagery and spectrometry, require detectors operating in high wavelength bands (around 15 µm) while having high radiometric and imaging performances. The purpose of the paper is to focus on developments made at SOFRADIR in order to answer specific needs of infrared sounding instruments, as for MTG IRS or IASI NG. Analysis of the main driven performances and constraints, proposed solutions and preliminary results will be presented.
